I've not been back to my blog for almost 2 years!
The last post was on my church camp in 2007... and this year from 3-6 June 2009, we are having the same camp theme (thus... "reloaded") and speaker! Good to look back on the sessions below and see how far I've (we've) come!

Leng Kwang Baptist Church Camp 11-15 June 2007
The 5 Theme Talks were:
1) The Purposes of God to Live For
– Spirit-filled (character) versus Spirit-gifted (competence)
2) The Presence of God to Live In
– Encountering God and dying to Self.
3) The People of God to Live With
– The Church characterized by Community, based on Charity, forged by Humilty.
4) The Priorities of God to Live Out
– We never forget the person who brought the Gospel to us. Preach the Good News.
5) The Power of God to Live On
– “There are no professionals in the Kingdom of God.” No matter how long you have been a Christian. What is important is finishing well and fulfilling God’s destiny.
Pastor Jimmy also shared his heart in a session of Envisioning.
It was a "Reality Check". He urges us to be "Crossing the Lines" in:
1) Personal Faith Barriers – Growing in our Relationship with God.
2) Commitment to One Another - Connected to Community
3) Service to God in the Local Church
4) Sharing Our Faith
We also received some articles to read, on “Courage & Calling” by Gordon T. Smith.
Here are some quotes that I found meaningful:
To live in truth, we must be true to who we are.
If we seek to be anything other than who we are, we live a lie.
Who we are and who we are called to be in the world is found at the intersection of all four (answers to the following questions).
Q1: What are my gifts and abilities?
Q2: What is the deepest desire of my heart?
Q3: Where do I personally sense the needs of the world and feel the brokenness in God’s creation?
Q4: What is my unique personality or temperament?
