My Time in Budapest

"Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation." - Mark 16:15

This is one verse that explains how the Great Commission is fulfilled, when the entire world is reached. How is it possible to let everyone around the world know the good news of what Jesus has done?

It is only after attending this MinistryNet Conference, that I am awakened to the REALITY of being able to reach peoples from every tribe, nation and language.

Consider how the internet is able to go faster than what we can humanly do. The technology of today has increased our capability, and yet it is strangely personal, very non-threatening and highly effective in a cost-efficient way. Only God could have "engineered" this, to see to it that His plan is accomplished!

The MinistryNet Conference in Budapest, Hungary was attended by 68 delegates from 25 countries.

It was a slice of heaven! The humility, generous spirit and genuine fellowship we experienced was truly a special blessing. We thank God for those who served in preparing for the conference and for travel visas, granted at short notice, to all 10 persons who needed them to attend, as we prayed.

We were very encouraged by how the Lord is using the internet as a frontline ministry. We heard from those currently doing internet ministry and found out what is available to help us start one. Everyone was ready with resources and ideas to help others succeed. It was very REFRESHING, in the way that nobody cared who “got the credit”. A lot of networking was happening!

Going on leave...

Yes, I need to go on a break soon. I am looking forward to it.

I will get to visit my niece in the USA and give her a big hug!

I have also started painting my room... and hopefully I will have enough resolve to throw things out so there is less clutter!

I just had a birthday and it is so nice to be remembered! Even my dad sent an e-card which is really sweet. Only that I stumbled on him at his computer, when he was choosing which one to send... :)

Gareth, my nephew at his 2nd Birthday's celebration.
Here he is learning to peel his "red egg" which is symbolically dyed red (prosperous colour) and given to bless those who join in the celebration.

Back from Budapest

I am back from the MinistryNet Conference and have had a most enriching time. Will share more later.

"Steve Douglass (Campus Crusade International President) has publicly stated that he believes more ministry will be done in CCCI via the Internet than through traditional ministries by 2010." - Allan Beeber, WorldLINC Ministry

"The Internet Ministry has definitely become a vital missions frontier. Its power and reach are without boundaries and the opportunities endless." We are ABLE to see the fulfilment of the Great Commission - how the entire world CAN be reached, one person at a time.

Budapest here I come!

Hi
I am leaving for Budapest this Thursday. I am excited about the trip but am also not sure what will be involved. I hope I get to meet interesting people and that I will learn a lot from the conference.
